Dr. Rami A. Kamel finished his medical degree from Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. He then completed research fellowships at Harvard Medical School and the University of Toronto, where he stayed and finished his anesthesia residency training, earning the Fellowship of the Royal College of Canada. He then went on to complete another residency training at McMaster University in Pain Medicine and earned another Royal College sub-specialist designation. Dr. Kamel enjoys teaching ACLS courses as a faculty at the Sunnybrook Advanced Life Support Program. He is passionate about clinical education and is currently pursuing a Clinician Educator Program formation at McMaster University.
He holds a staff appointment at Scarborough Health Network as an anesthesiologist. He also holds the academic appointment of Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University Faculty of Health Sciences.
When he’s not practicing medicine, he enjoys playing the violin and other musical instruments. He enjoys calligraphy and portraiture and has also trained in sketching and painting.
