Dr. Fisher attended medical school at the University of Alberta and finished his residency in anesthesia at Western University. Afterwards, Dr. Fisher completed an ACGME accredited interventional pain medicine fellowship at Duke University in North Carolina.
Dr. Fisher practices in Victoria, BC at the Royal Jubilee Hospital Chronic Pain Clinic. He is a clinical instructor at the University of British Columbia as well as at the University of Victoria and is engaged in teaching students and residents. His professional areas of expertise include interventional procedures such as radiofrequency ablation, transforaminal epidurals, nerve root blocks, and neuromodulation.
His current research focus is on enhancing patient access to care and improving efficiency to decrease long wait times. His latest projects include the creation of direct to procedure pathways, and treatment algorithms for common pain conditions.
