Dr. Siva completed his primary specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at McMaster University. He is dual board certified in PM&R with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Siva subsequently subspecialized in Pain Medicine, completing a multi-year accredited training program with the Department of Anesthesia at McMaster University. He has obtained his board certification in the subspeciality of Pain Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada. He is also board certified with the World Institute of Pain and a recognized Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice.
Dr. Siva also practices at McMaster University Medical Centre's Michael G. DeGroote Pain Centre.a He is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Medicine at McMaster University and has received multiple faculty teaching awards. He is a member of the Pain Medicine residency training committee. He is also a staff consultant for Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospitals where he helped develop the chronic pain consultation service.
Dr. Siva's research interests are primarily in novel radiofrequency neuromodulation and ablative interventional techniques for pain management. He has multiple publications and ongoing clinical research trials.
Dr. Siva’s primary clinical focus is on X-ray guided and Ultrasound guided interventional management therapies. He does image guided interventional spine, joint, and peripheral nerve radiofrequency and regenerative therapies.
